Here is a sample of Alberta's Veteran license plate. It was introduced in 2004, and has red embossed lettering on the wild rose graphic base. On the left of the serial number is a red and black maple leaf and poppy graphic. Regular sequential plates have VD prefix, followed by serial number in A00 format. (VDA01, VDA02, etc.)
